Introduction

Status Saver ("we", "our", "the app") is a free Android app that lets you view and save WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business status updates already stored on your own device, and send a message without saving a contact. This Privacy Policy explains what the app accesses, how it's used, and your choices. By using Status Saver, you agree to this policy.

Information We Access On Your Device

The app needs access to the folder where your chat app temporarily stores status images and videos (via Android's Storage Access Framework) so it can display them to you and, if you choose, save a copy to your own device gallery. This is a local, on-device operation only — the app does not upload, transmit, or store your statuses or saved files on any server we operate.

Permissions We Use

• Folder access (Storage Access Framework): read-only access to the folder you pick. We never request the broad "manage all files" permission, and we never write back into your chat app's own folders. • Notifications (Android 13+): requested only if you turn on "Notification" in Settings. • Internet / network state: needed to show ads and check connectivity.

Advertising

Status Saver is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers (such as the Google Advertising ID), approximate location, and similar data to show relevant ads and measure performance, under their own privacy policies. Where required — for example the EEA, UK, and certain US states — a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) is shown before any ad is requested, so you can choose what you consent to. You can review or withdraw ad-personalization consent any time from your device's Google settings.

Log & Diagnostic Data

If the app encounters an error, it may automatically collect basic technical data — such as device model, OS version, and app version — to help us diagnose and fix problems. This data is not linked to your identity.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the data the app and its third-party services handle, but no method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Status Saver is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
